I decided to do some digging into the origin of April Fool's Day also known as All Fool's Day. Apparently the origin of the day where we try to make others look like fools is not really known. Some claim it dates back to ancient cultures celebrating the turn of the season while others say it has to do with the adoption of a new calendar. http://www.infoplease.com/spot/aprilfools1.html
Whatever its origin, it is a day commonly observed throughout the Western World and Europe. If you are feeling the need to play a prank on someone for April Fool's Day but do not know what to do, there are numerous online sites with hundreds of ideas, some are simple while others are much more devious and may result in one being kicked to the doghouse for a few days. One of the sights I happened upon was: http://aprilfoolzone.com/unique14c.htm.
If you decide to play a prank on someone please keep in mind their feelings and whether they will find it funny as well, or want to punch you in the face when all is said and done! In other words, do not do something you would not want done to yourself! Happy April Fool's Day!
Thought of the day: Why isn't there mouse flavored cat food?
Quote of the day: It is the ability to take a joke, not make one, that proves you have a sense of humor. Max Eastman (American writer, poet, political activist)
