People who know me know that I like to have just as much fun as the next person. Unfortunately my neighbor last night decided to have a few people over for a backyard party. I have no problem with this. What I had a problem with was the blaring music that was accompanying the party until 6:00 am in the morning.
Like most people I love music. I do not love music from 12:00am on that is so loud that I can sing along to the lyrics from my bedroom. Apparently my neighbor does not have much respect or consideration for those in his neighborhood. It was so loud that it had my children awake and they normally can sleep through the vacuum running outside their bedrooms.
After having gotten little to no sleep, Stephen decided to take the matter into his own hands. Instead of confronting the drunken partygoers he decided to call the cops and let them deal with the matter. The police issued the neighbor a ticket (of course well after they had decided to go to bed). Apparently this is the seventh ticket they have given this neighbor.
The neighbor told the cop and Stephen this morning in an angry rant that he is not going to change. He pays property taxes, is young and a 'musician' so he is going to continue partying and playing his music as loud as he wants to! All I wanted the guy to do was to have some respect for others living around him and turn the music down. So much for neighborly love!
