Spring is often associated with growth, renewal and new life being born. This can be taken literally or used as a metaphor for the start of better times. An article from "Psychology Today" (www.psychologytoday.com), discusses how Spring is the season of hope. The article shows how Spring brings light and heat, is a bridge between winter and summer, can be a healing agent, and acts as a harbor for animals to come back to nature. All of these items are about hope and lifting our spirits.
For me, Spring is about potential and starting fresh. Whether that is in the form of working outside in the backyard, planting flowers, planning camping trips, nature walks by the river or hanging out by the fire pit in my backyard etc. life in general seems to have so much more promise in the spring. Perhaps I need to keep this outlook on life throughout the entire year but it seems so much easier to do that when the flowers are blooming as opposed to a minus 25 wind chill.
Let us all take the time to make the most out of what we are given. Enjoy the spring everyone!
Thought of the day: If you decide you are indecisive, which one are you?
Quote of the day: The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also. Harriet Ann Jacobs (African-American author)
